Computing

Computing is an established academic discipline that deals primarily with programming and how computers work. Areas covered will be valuable to students interested in Engineering, Electronics and Mathematics, as well as those with a straightforward interest in computers. This course should not be confused with Information Technology, which tends to deal with what computers are used for. Computing is highly regarded by top university departments.

IT

The department offers a range of vocational industry standard courses in IT. There are a number of specially equipped classrooms and every student has their own computer to use in class. The courses use a range of industry or university standard software for programming and website design. There is also a room equipped for work on hardware in the BTEC courses. All teaching staff have previous commercial and industrial experience in the subjects offered.
