Within the travel and tourism industry, Cabin Crew play an extremely important role in the airline sector and great emphasis is still placed upon finding the perfect candidates for this demanding and extremely rewarding job.
This course will provide you with the knowledge required to work effectively as a member of an airline Cabin Crew. The course also provides the tools needed to deliver the highest level of standard and service to satisfy and exceed the expectations of all passengers.
This qualification prepares students for an exciting career as Cabin Crew and will enable them to face a selection day with confidence. Three former students are now flying as Cabin Crew for easyJet after succesful completion on the course.
The units covered on the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew course, include the following:
- Unit 1 – Working as Cabin Crew
- Unit 2 – Airline Health, Safety and Security
- Unit 3 – Aircraft Emergency Situations
- Unit 4 – Dealing with Passengers on Board an Aircraft
- Unit 5 – Cabin Service – Selling Techniques
- Unit 6 – Making Passenger Announcements on Board an Aircraft.
Course Specific Trips, Visits & Experiences
Delivery of the course will consist of videos, group activities, visits from current Cabin Crew, role plays and visits to London Gatwick Airport. Being able to meet current Cabin Crew is a fantastic opportunity for students to get a great insight into what life as Cabin Crew is like.
There is an Annual Safety trip to Virgin Atlantic to use their training facilities. As well as visiting speakers from Thomas Cook, easyJet and Virgin Atlantic's cabin crew staff.
The course is assessed by coursework carried out throughout the course. The coursework consists of a variety of practical and written assessments. Students will complete a file during the year, which after marking they can take away with them to help them prepare for forthcoming interviews and the start of their career as Cabin Crew.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. Candidates wishing to take this qualification should hold an appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
