As a sixth form college situated in south London, we provide a wide range of vocational and academic qualifications for over 1,000 young people from Croydon and the surrounding boroughs. Teaching Vacancies

Coulsdon Sixth Form College  currently have a number of key opportunities within its teaching staff and are seeking innovative and enthusiastic teachers to join successful and supportive departments. All these posts provide an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to progress their career and would suit either an experienced or a Newly Qualified Teacher wishing to develop their potential.

Salary Range:  £22,564 to £33,023 per annum plus £2,558 per annum London Area Allowance

MATHS TEACHER
The Faculty has been highly successful in offering A Level Maths; A Level Further Maths; and Core Maths, as well as GCSE Maths to a large number of re-sit students.

HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE TEACHER
The Faculty offers BTEC programmes at Level 2 and Level 3.  There is an opportunity to teach across other subjects such as Psychology for a suitably qualified individual.

PSYCHOLOGY TEACHER
This position is part-time (approx. 0.75) although if another subject is offered such as Health and Social Care, this could be made full-time. As well as A Level, last year, the Faculty introduced the BTEC Applied Psychology.

BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER (MATERNITY COVER)
The Faculty successfully offers BTEC programmes at Level 2 and Level 3 as well as A Level Business.

To be considered for these posts you must have a sound knowledge of the 16–19 curriculum and an awareness of the needs of students in this age range. You must have a proven track record of success as a teacher, as exemplified by good examination results; for NQT’s evidence should consist of an outstanding placement reference particularly with regard to the standard of teaching and learning.  You must possess the ability, and willingness, to participate in curriculum planning, coursework design and moderation, and an awareness of the need for personal development, both as a member of a team and as an individual.

Our learners have high aspirational goals and the successful candidate must possess the skills to inspire and motivate learners to exceed their potential whilst working in a fast moving department.

Maternity Cover – VISUAL ARTS TECHNICIAN
Salary: £16,797 per annum inclusive of London Allowance(£19,438 FTE)
Hours: Full-Time (36 hours per week, over 39 weeks per year)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time (maternity cover) Visual Arts Technician, to join a successful and supportive department. The successful candidate will need to have experience of using and maintaining a wide range of equipment and materials within Art and Design. The post will involve providing technical support for all projects across a range of courses including chemical photography using the dark room, intaglio and relief printing using albion & cylinder printing presses, a knowledge of sewing machines and a range of textiles processes, preparing canvases and easels. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, close attention to detail and accuracy and be computer literate including all Microsoft Office applications and Apple Mac computers and printers.

MUSIC TEACHER – Part time
Hours: Part time – 13 hours per week – Monday and Tuesday
Salary: up to £22,025 per annum

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join a successful and supportive department to teach across vocational courses at Level 3.
