Aviation – Level 3 BTEC Certificate
This course will give you a broad introduction to the aviation industry, both on the ground and in the air.
Aviation is one of the most exciting and important industries in the UK. The last ten years has seen rapid
growth, and the aviation industry has expanded throughout the UK & Internationally. Topics include security in the aviation industry and Onboard Passenger Operations. This unit is very similar to Cabin Crew where we use our own classroom cabin crew aircraft simulator to train and develop your skills. With new airlines, expanded airports and growing route networks, there is a need for a skilled and well-educated workforce. The industry has bounced back strongly from COVID and
continues to grow.
Four GCSEs grade 9-4 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language at grade 4 and maths at
grade 4 as a minimum.
The course provides a number of transferable skills designed to support your own career aspirations as well as develop your knowledge of the aviation industry.
You will investigate the UK Aviation Industry, Health and Safety, Security, as well as learn about Onboard Passenger Operations using our classroom aircraft cabin crew trainer.
This qualification can lead to career opportunities such as translator, air cabin crew, pilot, travel consultant or hotel manager.9.6% of UK jobs are in the Travel and Tourism sector.
