Politics – Politics A Level
Overview
Do you enjoy a stimulating and dynamic subject which investigates topical issues and controversies that affect our everyday lives? Politics helps us understand how the British political system works,as well as developing an understanding of the core ideologies of liberalism, conservatism and socialism and another important ideology, multiculturalism.
Students will also study the American Political system. Students will develop a range of analytical, investigative and critical skills to use in whatever career path they choose. To do well in Politics, students will need to keep up-to-date with current affairs by reading a respected newspaper and watching or listening to the news on a weekly basis.
