Please see the email below sent to all students by Principal, Richard Beales re: Coronavirus on 18.3.20.
As you will be aware, the Government is asking all schools and colleges to remain open at this time.
The college is working hard to minimise the potential of the coronavirus to disrupt your education.
We have been working on strategies that will enable us to continue to support your studies online (via Moodle), should we be asked to close the college to students.
I was very pleased to see so many of you coming to college to continue your studies or your assessments.
Classes will continue as normal as possible and we will monitor the situation on a day by day basis.
If the situation changes, we will be notifying you by email as well as the College’s website.
Please help keep our college community safe:
- If you have a fever or a continuous cough, please do not come to college, go home and follow government guidance on self-isolation.
- When in the college, please continue to follow the government advice on handwashing and hygiene.
If you are at home in self-isolation and haven’t done so already, please contact your tutor or the College absence line to let them know. In these circumstances, you should be able to access support your studies via Moodle which would also ensure that your absence does not affect any bursary payment you might receive.
Please pass this information on to your parents
With sincere thanks for your hard work to keep our college community safe.
