On Tuesday 17th November 2015, Coulsdon College students studying on the BTEC Level 2 Public Services course were visited by the local Royal Corps of Signals from the British Army Reserves.

The day started with talks about the roles within the army and what students could expect if they were to sign up. It was then down to the students to demonstrate their leadership and teamwork skills in a series of challenging command tasks. The tasks included a very amusing one where students had to untangle themselves from a closed circle without letting go of each other’s hands! Students got in to a few awkward positions but were fruitful in the end.

Alex Harris, Public Services teacher said, “These visits play a key part in our students’ learning.  We’re always grateful to be supported by the armed forces in the way we are and the Royal Corps of Signals did a great job helping to inspire our students.”
