Coulsdon College is celebrating its second year with pass marks better than 99% at both A Level and Advanced BTEC.

Principal Brett Freeman is delighted and says this goes some way to explaining why Coulsdon College is likely to be the fastest-growing Sixth Form College in the UK by September 2015; he stated that:

“The students’ excellent results shows that those who join us enjoy their time and work hard to ensure they reach their full potential.  I want to wish all our graduating students well and I’m especially pleased at the growing numbers heading off to excellent universities and higher apprenticeships.”

There are so many stories of outstanding success this year.  A Level success includes Tolga Bilge who received A*, A, A and is off to study Theoretical Physics at St Andrews University; Jialian Zhang who will study Media Special Effects with her grades of A, A, B, B.  BTEC success includes Charlie Philbrick who gained triple Distinction allowing him to study at Brighton University and Emma Da Costa who received triple Distinction* in Performing Arts and is off to Northbrook College to study Musical Theatre.

Mr Freeman continued, “This has been an outstanding year for Coulsdon College and we can now look forward to even better results next year as our first year students gained the best result ever and this should mean even more of them leaving with top grades next year.

We do still have a limited number of places on some courses and I would urge students to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  Go to www.coulsdon.ac.uk/apply for application details.”

Executive Principal of the Reigate and Coulsdon Federation, Steve Oxlade stated that he “couldn’t be more pleased with this year’s results” and that “all the work by staff from both colleges means that students have achieved the results which will act as their springboard to a successful future.”

Results in summary:

99.4% pass at A Level
