On Friday 9th November 2018, students and staff at Coulsdon Sixth Form College held a Remembrance service in the College Atrium.
The service started with Public Services students parading through the Atrium in their cadet uniforms and wreaths were laid. History A Level students read out poems before a bell rang out to mark the start of the 2 minutes silence. Staff and students congregated in the Atrium, on the bridges and the stairs to be part of the service.
200 poppies were released from the bridge by staff and students – students were then encouraged to pick up a poppy, write on a message and pin to the Poppy board. There were some very moving tributes written.
Thank you to the Public Services students and staff for organising the poignant event.
Thank you to students Chloe Pantaleresco, Kaenat Baig and Leah Hardcastle for taking photographs of the event.
