Students were treated to a university style lecture from Professor John Irving, a concert pianist, when he visited Coulsdon Sixth Form College on Friday 15 March.

Performing Arts and Music students were fully engaged in the talk and relished hearing a concert pianist play. He spoke to students about his career and how skills such as resilience and a great work ethic are key to developing their careers in the industry.

Head of Performing Arts and Music Fiona Brennan enjoyed the talk, ‘The students were so interested in what he had to say and alongside the piano playing, he offered great insights into music and personal resilience.’
