On 25 and 26 March, Lower Sixth Geography students went on a field trip to complete their preparation for the Independent Investigation unit of their A Level.
Staying at the FSC at Juniper Hall in the Surrey Hills, the students went on day trips to Leatherhead, Newhaven and Seaford. At each place, they completed a number of physical and human investigation techniques, assessing the need for rebranding, processes affecting the coast and the success of flood defences.
Geography teacher Claire Neville said, ‘The trips are very important for the student’s studies. Going out and using the skills they’ve learnt about in theory, helps to bring to education to life.’
