On the evening of Thursday 28 November 2019, students hosted the annual charity Art Auction at Coulsdon Sixth Form College. The auction showcased staff, student and external artists work that was auctioned off to raise money for The Royal Marsden Charity based in Surrey.
The event is organised and managed by the BTEC Level 3 Business students as part of their coursework. This includes producing marketing campaigns to promote the event, as well as organising all parties involved on the night. The Hospitality students also played a big part in the evening, serving food and drinks to guests that attended the event. The Business students thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and learnt a lot about the key principles of business. They, staff and guests enjoyed the engagement and event content provided by a selection of students from Hospitality, Performing Arts, and Music Performance.
The students raised over £350 for The Royal Marsden Charity. Senior Tutor, Denise Wilkinson was pleased with how the Business students ran the event and said ‘It was a really enjoyable evening.’
