Coulsdon College’s very own, Neal and Helena Vaughan have moved their successful Art event, Carshalton Artists Open Studios (CAOS) online between Saturday 27 June and Sunday 5 July.

Initially, the popular event was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, after two months of hard work amongst the artists selling their work online, they believed that CAOS could still go ahead but online. Neal, founder of CAOS, said ‘We just realised there must be a way to still deliver this event. Lots of people were saying how they were going to miss it, and so we have worked hard to make it happen.’

This hugely popular art event is one of the biggest in London, typically attracting over 3000 visitors every year to the artists’ studios and local heritage centres. Helena, co-founder and artist, added ‘We could not have done all this without the support of the community, our partners and artists involved. It really is a group effort.’

All of the artwork is on the Carshalton Artists website (www.carshaltonartists.com), so let’s come together to support an industry that has suffered greatly during lockdown.
