Coulsdon Sixth Form College has welcomed a new Assistant Principal – Shiraz Ahmed.
Mr Ahmed joins the College from Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College, where he was the Head of the ICT & ALP Department for four and a half years.
With more than 10 years’ experience in the areas of IT training, teaching and database design, Mr Ahmed has a history of managing successful outcomes for students and adults in a variety of environments.
With a background in project management, Mr Ahmed has raised achievement to be within the top 10% nationally for value added date for four courses with more than 100 students, year on year, as well as raising diversity in the computing sector and developing a project to help raise achievement in a low achieving demographic.
A proven leader, he has managed staff, students and partnerships, working with the business community to offer innovative opportunities and further develop their employability skills, as well as embedding work experience into the curriculum.
Mr Ahmed said: “I’m delighted to be here at Coulsdon Sixth Form College and really excited to work with staff, students, stakeholders and employers to ensure we provide the best possible outcomes for all who learn here.”
