Science, SportWhy did you choose to come to Coulsdon College?
I liked the atmosphere at the College when I came to look around. I really wanted to do a BTEC in Medial Science and Coulsdon was the only place offering it. I live in Selsdon and with such good transport links, it’s easy to get to College on the bus.
Why were you so keen to do Medical Science?
I was considering training to be a paramedic, but I am now so involved in sport that I am thinking I might become a Sports Therapist, Personal Trainer or Physiotherapist.
What is your favourite subject?
I really love the BTEC Sports Lessons. My subjects really compliment each other and there’s a great mix of theory and practical. I love the way the BTECs work too – we get instant feedback from teachers so we know if it’s of a high enough standard. I’m aiming for Distinctions in all my subjects so that if I decide to go to university, I’ll have the grades to get in.
So are you planning on going to university?
Yes, but not straight away. I’m thinking of doing an apprenticeship to gain a Fitness Instructors Qualification and possibly a coaching course. I may then look at universities to do a Sports Therapy Course.
Tell us about your football career.
As well as doing College Football, I play for Beecholme Belles in Banstead as a striker. My ambition is to be signed by Chelsea, or any other Premier League Football Club. I’ve also done some football coaching which I really enjoyed.
