Coulsdon College students who are studying A Level English Literature and A Level English Language and Literature are lucky to have seen two theatre productions in two months, bringing two of their set works to life.  Firstly, in February, they went to The Trafalgar Studios in London to see a stage version of Oscar Wilde’s novel The Picture of Dorian Gray.  Then, in March, they have been to see the world premiere of the stage production of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald at The Fairfield Halls in Croydon.

Head of English, Adrian Price explains, “Both texts are on the A Level syllabus, so we have been very fortunate to be able to see stage productions of them.  Students enjoy these trips and it really helps to bring the text to life.”
