On Sunday 11th November, student Nudaar Gopee spent the day with professional photographer David Cook at a remembrance service in Caterham.

This amazing opportunity was Nudaar’s prize for winning the annual Photography competition, run by the Rotary Club. David took her under his wing as his assistant as they captured the essence of the Remembrance parade.

Nudaar loved the experience, “I learnt so much from David. He detailed the best shots to get and how. It is always good to know what you need from the shoot before you go and be prepared to get into the action” she continued, “there were so many techniques he taught me and I can’t wait to start implementing them.”

Photography teacher Neal Vaughan said, “I’m so proud of Nudaar. Not only did she get great feedback from David but he also used some of her images in his press report for the CR3 magazine”.

Here is a collection of her images from the day. To see all of them, please visit the photo gallery.
