We celebrated two Coulsdon Sixth Form College winners at the South London Best Learner and Teacher Awards last week at the House of Lords, Westminster.
Rosa Duan was our student winner.

Rosa moved to the UK from China during her secondary school education and worked extremely hard to attain three predicted A-grade results.

Rosa has grown into a talent and resilient individual who inspires and supports others and sets a positive example.

Our teacher winner was Claire Platt our Fashion and Textiles teacher.

Claire is extremely hard-working and reliable, providing invaluable support to her faculty and serving as an incredible role model.

Claire has nurtured Rosa’s talents and helped her grow in confidence by instilling a ‘can do’ attitude.

Claire really stepped up to help her students during the lockdowns, supporting their needs and guiding them through unpredictable times.

A huge congratulations to both Rosa Duan and Claire Platt on their hard work and their fantastic achievements.

Esteemed guests at the awards ceremony included Lord Tope CBE, Peter Mayhew-Smith, group principal and CEO of South Thames Colleges Group, Sam Parrett CBE, and guest speaker, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE, founder and chairman of Restoration Partners.
