The Performing Arts Department is a lively and thriving area where the main emphasis is on performing to a variety of different audiences.
The content of this qualification has been developed in consultation with academics to ensure that it supports progression to higher education. In addition, employers and professional bodies have been involved and consulted in order to confirm that the content is also appropriate and consistent with current practice.
The subject is available in three sizes: the BTEC Level 2 Award which is the equivalent to one GCSE in one year; the Cert/Ext Cert which is the equivalent to one A Level over two years or the Ext Cert/Diploma which is the equivalent of two A Levels.
