First Languages Day is celebrated all over the world to remind everyone of the importance of their first, or Mother language.  Between them, Coulsdon College students speak a diverse range of over 60 languages as their mother language.  Not surprising then, that the First Langauges Day celebration at the college was very enthusiastically attended.  Students were asked to complete three tasks, including declaring a place which is precious to them,  their favourite food and then finally, their mother language, including English and a regional accent, before being rewarded with a selection of sweets.  The flags showing the various languages provided a colourful display in the Atrium.
