New Street Golf sessions have started here at Coulsdon College, every Wednesday lunchtime.
These sessions are being delivered by Community Golf, an organisation backed by London Sport, Active Surrey and the Mayor of London, which provides a diverse range of golf activation programmes to inspire people of all ages and abilities to get involved in golf.
Sessions are held on a weekly basis and are delivered by Golf Professional Richard Shaw who is the Managing Director of Community Golf.
Ben Chambers, College Sportsmaker is pleased that golf has been added to the wide range of sports available to College students. “Sessions comprise fun skills based games, results of which will be entered into a wider College/University league table. One of our ex-students, Christal Sirdine, helped Coulsdon win the inaugural Community Golf College league, and she went on to represent Great Britain in the European Open, who finished runners up behind France. You never know what talent will be discovered in these sessions.”
