Students at Coulsdon College are well supported in their decision making about progression after College.  Each year the College successfully supports around 300 students through the process of applying to university; the Careers Department start working with students and their parents whilst they are in the Lower Sixth.  On 9 March, parents were invited in for a Higher Education Evening in order to help them understand the options available and the process students will have to go through if they wish to go on to university, including the UCAS application process and the application for student finance.  To follow up, a student tutorial programme has been planned for the summer term to help students through the process.

On 14 March, Lower Sixth students were taken to the Higher Education Convention at Surrey University in order to begin their research into whether university is for them, and if it is, what different universities have to offer.  Most UK universities were represented at the event and students were able to collect brochures and talk to representatives on the stands, as well as finding out about finance and future careers.
