A Level and BTEC IT students have been given the opportunity to investigate anything from web development and programming languages to electronics and setting up an online business at a series of Coder Dojo sessions held at Goldsmiths University and run by Hacksmiths, the university’s student-run tech society.
The two-hour sessions allow students to let their creative juices flow, whilst making use of Goldsmiths’ brand new Hardware Lab, and receiving advice and support from the Hacksmiths team.
Senior tutor Nick Voute commented, “These sessions are a fantastic way for our students to go deeper in their particular areas of interest, make use of university facilities and be mentored by students who are a few years further on in their studies. We’re excited to see the results of their work.”
