On Tuesday 30th January BTEC Level 3 Law students had the unique opportunity to participate in a mock trial at the High Court as part of the Rolls Building Education Programme.

The students re-enacted the 2012 High Court case between Apple and Samsung regarding the intellectual property rights surrounding their tablets.

They then had the chance to meet the High Court Judge who heard the original case and ask him about his career in Law. He talked about his route to becoming a barrister, and about making the step from advocating as a barrister to interpreting and applying the law as a judge.

The day finished with a brief tour of Temple which gave students the opportunity to see the Inns of Court and some barristers’ chambers.
