In commemoration of Armistice Day, BTEC Diploma Public Services students held a small Remembrance ceremony in the College on Friday 10th November. They were joined by representatives of the local Army Reserves.

College students Abigail O’Reilly and Lauren Palmer laid a wreath by the College remembrance plaque before Lauren and fellow student, Tommy Skinner, read poems to mark the occasion.

This was followed a two-minute silence in honour of the fallen, during which 200 poppies were released. The ceremony concluded with students pinning the poppies to a board of remembrance alongside their own personal messages to those who lost their lives.
