“To be successful, you have to have a combination of talent and hard work.  One without the other is no good.” These were the words of Keith Millen, Assistant Manager, Crystal Palace Football Club, who was the Guest of Honour at The Coulsdon College Academic Awards Ceremony held at the end of the Autumn Term.

The Awards were presented to Lower Sixth pupils for progress and to Upper Sixth pupils for Achievement.  35 students were rewarded for their hard work, and were enthusiastically applauded by fellow students, parents, staff and guests.

“You are fabulous examples of young people who have lots of potential talent and are working really hard to make the most of it,” enthused Mr Millen. “You are jolly lucky to be studying in such a fantastic college, with amazing facilities and supporting teaching staff.  Keep up the hard work!”

Amongst those who were given an award were Upper sixth student Jessica Read for achievement in Biology and lower sixth student Lara Balicano for outstanding work in Fashion and Graphics.
