Computing & IT, Geography, Media StudiesWhy did you chose to study A Levels here at Coulsdon?
I heard so many positive reviews of the College from students past and present so I decided to attend an Open Evening. After my visit, I knew it was ideal for me. I was impressed by the facilities available to students and the staff were so welcoming, I felt it was the best place to study.
What have been your highlights whilst studying here?
The abundance of support and facilities available to me, for example the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) which allows me to complete any work and further research in a quiet and comfortable environment.
Have you experienced any challenges? If so, how did you overcome them?
The main challenge I have faced is getting used to the change from secondary school life to College life. A Levels are much more intense then GCSEs but the staff at Coulsdon do their best to make the change as seamless as possible. Adjusting to College life mainly came with time, and staff have been extremely supportive as they didn’t apply too much pressure or expect too much within the first few weeks.
How have you found Online Learning during the pandemic?
I have faced some challenges with online learning; mainly motivation and understanding certain topics, but teachers are available via email to help continue my studies.
What are your future aspirations?
In the future I hope to go to university and study Software Engineering. Following that, I would love to become a Software Developer.
