What made you choose Coulsdon College?

I felt ready for a change from school and I loved the more grown-up atmosphere and focus on Sixth Form.

How did you decide on your subjects?

Initially I picked completely different subjects, but coming to the taster and introductory days opened my eyes to other courses I hadn’t previously considered. The mixture of A Levels and a BTEC has suited me, taking the pressure off slightly at exam time.

What is your favourite subject?

French. The teaching is really good and I’ve improved so much. I’ve enjoyed exploring subjects affecting French society like immigration and the environment. The trip to Montpellier in the Lower Sixth really helped improve my language skills.

How have you been involved in the College community?

I was proud to be voted President of the SU this year. It’s been a rewarding experience that has really developed my leadership and communication skills. Being involved in the College Governors’ meetings and hearing first hand about the College’s ambitious plans has been particularly interesting.

Are you planning to go to university?

I’ve applied to do Law with French at university and have had offers from all five of my choices. My ultimate aim is to work in the legal field of Human Rights, helping refugees to improve their circumstances.
