Coulsdon College BTEC Travel and Tourism students have been prepared well for careers in this field.  During April they were visited by Thomas Cook Airlines Cabin Crew Fiona Bird and Anna Fulford Brown. The Cabin Crew gave the students an insight into life as Cabin Crew and the students were able to ask questions about the role and how to apply.

In addition, the Upper 6th Travel and Tourism students were put through mock interviews in preparation for work.  Ex Travel and Tourism students came to the College to put students through mock interviews as cabin crew and as wedding events organisers. Miriam Dantas, who now works for Easy Jet Cabin Crew and James Ocloo who is currently an Interpretation and Language Student at Birmingham University presented the students some challenging questions and gave them a realistic interview experience.

“We are lucky that our teacher has contacts in the industry and is able to bring them in to help us with our career development.  I feel well prepared for the world of work now,” said Upper Sixth Travel and Tourism student, Rachel Morris.
