Coulsdon College hosted a Business Conference on Friday 10th November. Local business leaders from a variety of sectors were invited into the College where they were linked with a specific department in order to help ensure the individual subject curricula are fully enabling students to develop the skills and experience employers are looking for.
The businesses represented included Croydon NHS Trust (linked with Health and Social Care), De Vere Selsdon Estate (Travel & Hospitality) and Gatwick Airport (Engineering).
Head of College Steve Gooch, who ran the Conference, commented on the success of the event: ‘Ensuring students leave College with the best possible career opportunities is a key priority for us, so it is incredibly important that we understand what business leaders want. Their input into our teaching methods will ensure students are fully prepared and equipped for their future employment.’
