Coulsdon College is continuing its trend of encouraging budding film makers and two more students have been taking part in the BFI Film Academy.  Seb Black and Ed Auld, who are both studying A Level Film studies at Coulsdon, started the Saturday school during the Autumn term and also took part in an intensive course during half term, under the instruction of industry mentors and staff from the East side Educational Trust.  This culminated in a screening and awards ceremony at the Rich Mix centre in Shoreditch in January, where both students won awards.

They are following in the footsteps of ex-student Jess Wood, who left Coulsdon College last year and is now studying Film at Bournemouth University.  Jess’s film, ‘Fading Away’ has recently been nominated in the Best Short Film category of the WJEC A2 Film Awards.
