BTEC Diploma Creative Digital Media Production L2
This course provides you with the opportunity to explore, develop and test your creativity within media, developing your base of skills and knowledge, while enhancing your self-confidence and revealing the potential career demands and opportunities within the sector. You will cover topics including creative media methods and skills, audio and visual production and technology and a personal project and presentation in creative media production.

Four GCSEs grade 9-2 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language at grade 2 and maths at grade
2 as a minimum. You will also need to show an art portfolio, containing recent examples of creative work you have done.
Students will learn to use industry standard software including Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and InDesign, with a license that allows them to access all of the Creative Suite software in college and at home.
Recommended Equipment
A 64GB to 128GB SDXC drive such as SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC card is compulsory. If you qualify for bursary this will be purchased on your behalf.
Cameras, Lights and Audio equipment are available for level 2 students to use on campus, however if they would like to expand their learning experience off-campus we recommend purchasing a DSLR HD camera such as a Canon 700D which can be found at reasonable prices renewed or Pre-Loved. For Audio we recommend a wireless microphone system such as DJI Mic Mini. We also recommend additional external storage such as a 500GB to1TB Hard drive.
This program prepares you for higher studies, vocational training or future career pathways. Successful candidates will be able to progress to A-Level or Level 3 BTEC qualifications, depending on the grades achieved.
This course is assessed through 75% internal assessment of coursework and 25% external exam.
