I chose Politics because I’ve always been interested in how decisions are made and how governments work. I like understanding different viewpoints, debating current issues and learning how politics shapes everyday life. Studying this subject helps me make sense of the world, and I enjoy exploring how society can change through political action.
I decided on Coulsdon Sixth Form College because it has a great reputation for academic subjects and a strong, supportive learning environment. When I visited, the teachers were really welcoming and passionate about what they teach. The college felt friendly, modern and like a place where I could really grow academically.
I enjoy the discussions and debates the most. Every lesson feels engaging because we talk about real issues and how they affect people. The course also helps me think critically and understand different perspectives. My classmates make the lessons even better because we all bring different ideas to the table.
The teaching has been fantastic. My teacher explains complex topics clearly and makes the lessons interesting. If I ever need help, they’re always there to give guidance or go over things again. I feel supported and encouraged to think independently and ask questions.
After this course, I’m aiming to study Politics or International Relations at university. I’m considering careers in law, public policy, diplomacy or even journalism. Studying politics here is helping me understand which path fits me best.
